Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40

We all know the story of Lazarus. After Jesus told the crowd gathered at his tomb to Move The Stones, Martha protested. As far as she was concerned Christ wasn’t there when she needed him and now that all hope was lost – what was the point?

When we’re in the midst of our trials, it’s natural for us to see only what is directly in front of us, to accept what we perceive through our senses. We hear the doctors report, see our finances dwindling, feel the pain, etc.. Our minds automatically begin concentrating on the struggle we’re in. Unfortunately, that’s the way we’re wired, but the good news is, through the power of the Holy Spirit our minds can be re-wired. The Apostle, Paul instructs, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Knowledge of God’s perfect Will for your life is made available through His Word. Through the written word in the Holy Bible and through the living Word, which is Jesus Christ. Get in God’s word. Read it. Study it. Meditate on it.

Instead of concentrating on the struggle, a renewed mind will concentrate on the outcome God has ordained. Transformation in the natural (what we see) is accomplished by complete FAITH in the Word of a powerful, loving God (what we can’t see).

Jesus said, “If you would BELIEVE.”

When trouble comes I challenge you to be still a moment, to remember that nothing is impossible for God. Your footsteps have already been ordered. Consult the word. Find out what God has to say about the subject and no matter what you see, hear, feel, touch, taste or smell, Just Believe!
